SOLD “Rubicon” IALHA Registered 2021 Dun gelding

Rubicon is a sweetheart of a gelding that is amateur friendly and raised in a balanced herd environment. His dam, Sedona Creek, is a sweet kiger mare that has been a matriarch to my breeding program. Xemino is his Lusitano sire that has impressed many with his amazing temperament for a stallion that is very Veiga bred. More info and website link to Xemino toward the bottom of this page.

Rubicon has been a pleasure to have since day one of life. Very gentle boy to handle and curious nature that likes to explore. When he’s up in a pen, he’s every visitor’s favorite since he loves to hang his head over the gate and nickers for attention. He has an easy-going nature and loves people. He’s been through several herd member shifts out in a pasture setting to help introduce him to variety and change in his life. My goal is to raise well rounded individuals that will be a pleasure to start under saddle. He’s had basic handling, but I also don’t like to overhandle my foals and let them be horses as much as possible. He is starting to learn how to be led from a 4 wheeler to help save steps. 40 acres is a lot of ground to cover! This Fall I’m seeing more of that Luso boldness coming out when he notices something potentially scary. A case in point was the tractor mowing in his pasture and, instead of running off with his friends, he moved toward the tractor to check it out. He also is familiar with trains since there is an active train track next our ranch.

Asking $10,500 for this Kiger/Luso cross. Price will go up with age and training.
