West 12 Ranch

Mardi Gras Riot jumped the gun this year, foaling almost 2 weeks early and beating everyone else.  I guess she wanted to make sure that her Tough Game filly was number one!  Mardi foaled a splashy bay filly @ 3:10am on January 31st.  We are so happy to see the first Tough Game that I've included two pictures of "Love".  She really likes the mud.

                            She's a very nice mover and still has a great disposition. 

Following after Mardi is a new mare to West 12, Serena's Ruhl.  Serena had a beautiful bay Lionheart filly on February 4th at 7:55pm.

Next up was Kate's Unique.  I prophecied a gray colt, and was half right.  Katie's big gray Marino Marini filly "Luna" was born on February 7th at 8:55pm.  She loves to pose for the camera!

Variety decided to give us a little variety by having the first colt of the year.  The leggy bay Gotham City colt was born on February 12th, and is shown here being mystified at his mom's actions.  ;)

 Visiting mare Excessive Cindi had a very nice Salt Lake filly on February 22nd at 8:15pm.  The pretty bay filly posed near perfectly for her first conformation shot!

Malbay Slew's lovely bay Benchmark daughter arrived on March 5th at 5:30am.  "Emily" and mom had a great time their first day out in the sunshine!

New mom Sail on Sunshine did a wonderful job delivering her flashy chestnut colt at 11:55pm on March 6th.  "Tommy" is Sunshine's first foal and Tough Game's first colt.   Look at the bone and muscle!  

 Returning mare Clever and Cute followed up with another Tough Game son.  The striking bay colt was born on March 19th at 4am, and is shown here posing for the camera.  Doesn't he have adorable markings?

Memo Lady couldn't wait for her first foal, "Snickers," another handsome bay colt by Tough Game.  This cute fellow was born at 2:50am, March 21st, and his mom can't keep her nose off of him. 

 On March 30 at 11:30pm, Storybook Fair's leggy bay Marino Marini colt made his debut.  Look at that pretty face!

Resident mare Ladyinabrownsuit is very special to West 12, as we rehabbed her from a serious injury when she came off of the track, and we couldn't wait to meet her first foal.  Introducing Lady's son "Romeo," a beautiful bay colt by Tough Game that arrived on April 1st at 12:45am.  Isn't he absolutely adorable?

 New mare Keep It Quiet's handsome Olmodavor son knows he is special!  The chestnut colt was born on April 19th @ 10:20pm.  He is always posing for the camera!

Funny Flag delivered a very large Tough Game filly at midnight on April 22nd.  We call the strapping bay "Juliet."  :)

Grand Gamble's husky chestnut colt was born almost a month late!  I guess he just needed more time to grow.  ;)  The Decarchy colt arrived on May 2rd @  12:40am.

For a special Mother's Day present, Fast Mon delivered a gorgeous bay filly on May 10th.  The Marino Marini daughter tried a sneaky arrival by foaling during the day @ 10am.  :)

Our last foal of the year was to the venerable Dixie Highway.  Dixie is 19 this year and still going strong!  "Tinkerbell" was born on May 17th @ 2:20am.  This pretty bay daughter of Decarchy has a ton of excess energy and zest for life.
